		Specialties: Refractive Surgical Care, General Optometry Locations: Brint Custom Vision, Brint Cataract Institute Mike Ostrick, O.D. received his optometric degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He continued his medical training with a course in ocular therapeutics at the University of Houston and is licensed in Therapeutic Optometry. Dr. Ostrick became interested in refractive surgery early in his career serving as Clinical Coordinator of the national Radial Keratotomy Study while he was an instructor for the LSU Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Ostrick has been a Clinical Associate of Dr. Brint’s since 1985 and has been involved in developing and researching new innovations in both cataract and refractive eye care. This close association makes Dr. Ostrick uniquely qualified to participate in the care of patients both before and after surgery. Active in the medical community, Dr. Ostrick is Co-Chair of the Louisiana State Association of Optometry, New Orleans Zone. As Adjunct Facility for the University of Houston College of Optometry, University of Alabama College of Optometry, University of Missouri College of Optometry and Pennsylvania College of Optometry Dr. Ostrick brings a wealth of knowledge to his training of Optometric students, and manages interships for 8 students a year.
